Specialized Roubaix Pro tires.. junk?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20 miles and i had a flat on my Specialized Roubaix Pro tires. some tell me they are junk and some say they are just as good as the gator tires. i am looking for flat free protection. what tires do you guys recomend? i am not taking a chance on riding to work..

Well I don't have direct experience, but most say Schwalbe's flat-protected tires are the bees-knees. Not cheap, but maybe worth it for the peace of mind.

Are those the regular Roubaix pro or are those the Roubaix Armadillo. The armadillo line is puncture resistant while the non Armadillo line is not. If it is the regular Roubaix Pro, then I don't see how it can be as puncture resistant as the Gatorskin.

I've run the All condition Armadillo Ellite on my commuter bike. I have only 500 miles on it and no problems yet which I should have after running over glass, and even metal sliver shaving from the shop Bridgeport milling machine. The metal does embedd themselves on the rubber but not all the way through. I do have to pluck them out because eventually they will get through.

Now on my road bike for weekend, I am thinking of trying Ultremo DD by Schwalbe because I think they will provide a softer ride.

You did not mention a size, but it sounds like a 700x23 to 28 from the description of gatorskin or Roubaix Pro. Knowing a size will help in your decision from opinion from those who used Schwalbe so that they can suggest which selection since not all selection have all size available.
