What tubes do you use?

I bike between 20-30 miles a day. Flats for me are quite common.
I've been replacing my tubes with the Novara 700-35/43 from REI since they are convenient and only $5 each. But I suspect that better tubes could reduce the number of flats I get.
What tubes do you guys recommend for durability and longevity?
Thanks

I buy whatever I can get cheapest. Flats are not a problem around here. Just this week I saw the first broken glass on the road that I've seen for probably 2 years.

I guess good tubes couldn't hurt, but it seems to me that anything that gets through the tire will eventually work its way through the tube, unless it's something that has a limited depth like a goathead or a thumbtack. I'd think going with something like Marathon Supreme tires would be a better defense.

They do make thornproof tubes with extra thick outside walls, it might be worth getting a pair and trying them.

Whatever I can pick up cheap, usually $2.50 at MEC. Flats are more a function of the tire model, proper inflation, proper installation, and avoiding debris.

These tubes are very heavy. When you see the box these come in, you'll wonder what you're getting into. I bought a pair a number of years ago and ... as is normally the case... they refuse to flat. They just stay on one of my bikes making everything a little more sluggish.

Whatever's cheap. Usually Avenir. I rely on my tires or tire liners to prevent flats.

The ones that are included when you buy Continental Contact tires :)

Thorn resistant tubes on all my bikes. My MTB and 3 road bikes. I replaced my tires yesterday because I noticed a hole 3 mm wide on my rear tire. Whatever made that hole scratched the tube and did not penetrate.

I took that same bike with the tire with a hole on it to a 63 mile organized ride 2 weeks ago in the rain. The tubes held quite nicely.

Thorn resistant tubes + Conti Gator Skin + Tuffy liners.
I'm considering adding the Slime treatment too.

Yup, I hate getting a flat tire.
