Back to Commuting - RunKeeper GPS Link
So i am back to commuting here in NYC again. I am happy to report with my new Mavic Aksiums so far so good.
To keep track of my improvements in speed and such i am gonna use runkeeper. Its a cool iphone app that tracks your ride and overlays it with google maps. Also shows you a cool graph of your speed vs. elevation through the hold ride. Does other cool calcs, such as colories, pace, splits etc. Check it out..its free... Here is the link to my ride into work today.... http://rnkpr.com/a59p71 |
I tried runkeeper a long time ago, but didn't like it (maybe it's gotten better). Used ActiveX's GPS a while but it's got a ton of bells an whistles and getting to various features took a while (and, buggy). It's a good general purpose GPS. Now I like Cyclemeter. It's the best I've used so far, quite a treat to use. My morning commute, for all you stalkers: http://j.mp/9BDPI9

You don't stop? Or does it not include stopped time? I think most of the tools don't include stopped time by default (but can often include it via a preference). I try to count it, since time stopped at a traffic light makes me just as late as time spent going too slowly. Such are the priorities of a commuter rather than a racer, though. :)
