In Florida it still gets cold. It was in the 30's and 40's a few weeks back. It usually doesn't rain below 50 but at 50 it is cold when the wind blows. Even in the 60's it is still cold for me..If it stays in the 70's then that is nice. I just want to be prepaired. I was wondering what others were doing? Cheers..:D
It rarely rains when it is cold here. So in winter I wear winter riding clothes and don't worry about rain. In the Summer you will ride home in the rain nearly every day. I wear Shimano sandals - no socks, and the rain feels great on my bear toes. I wear bright lime green sleeveless dry weave top I bought at Target, and bike shorts. The rain feels GREAT when riding home in August. You want it on your skin. The only rain gear I have is fenders and water proof panniers.

One day in march... before I was commuting by bike... I was on my way to work and they said on the radio that it was 36 Degree's in Portland, Maine... and 32 Degree's in Jacksonville, Florida. I drive people to the airport from the Hotel I work at, and pick them up at the airport on their way back... and they were telling me how there wasn't much of a difference between Florida and Maine weather wise...
