Nexus Inter-8 on Charge Slice bars?

I quite fancy Charge's Slice bullhorn-type handlebars, but I've got brakes and a twist-shifter to contend with.

Now I know I'm OK with the brake levers because they're the same (Promax 239A) as on the Charge Plug with these bars, but I also have a Nexus Inter-8 hub with a twist-shifter.

My first question is: can I actually get the twist shifter on the bars?

The second question is: does this configuration sound usable? Has anyone used a twist-shift on bullhorns?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Those bars appear to be roadie diameter so Nexus grip shift is too small. Some options are:

- make an adapter that fits into the end of the bars and has 22.2mm diameter for Nexus gripshift, then the gripshift sticks out in front of the bars.

- make some kind of adapter that mounts on the fork's steer column and replaces some of the spacers.

- Buy a JTEK bar end shifter: https://www.jtekengineering.com/jtek_bar-end_shifter.htm
