Waica 3 Weeler

Just got this Waica 3 wheeler.
Tilting front wheels. Came with a child carrier but instead replaced it with a quick release basket. |
What fascinating bikes. Thanks for bumping the thread. I'm glad to see them.

OK, I have to take pictures in my neighborhood. We have lots of parents carrying kids but not with this style of bike. Some are riding bike cargo bikes. Also, some are riding regular bikes with banana seats installed over the rear wheel. I've seen kids as big as about ten years old riding on them. It's sweet to see parent and child chatting that way, on the way to school. The big, mean city is getting gentler.

My Bridgestone Picnica Wagon converted to a mamachari.
I installed OGK's Quick Release Child Carrier and Basket. Fabricated an elevated bracket for the rear. Basket and carrier are interchangeable in position. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4076/...d87c7c785d.jpg |

oops sorry I thought this is a buy and sell thread. Yes I tried to pm him but I still can't pm because I just signed in today.

I see about 20 mamachari's outside the window right now. Pretty much everyone rides them in Japan. I see a few hybids and a few road bikes, but the vast majority of commuters are on these bikes.
They're good for getting groceries, but I don't miss mine. |
