I just saw on SRAM's website (https://www.sram.com/en/sram/comfort/ilight/index.php) their iLight for the first time and was curious if anyone had experience with this new dynohub compared to the I believe Shimano NX30... but now I'm seeing on Harriscyc's site that Shimano has a new one too.. the DH-3N70 (https://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/l...g/shimano.html) which looks pretty darn slick as well... I have an old NX-30 (the last one before this new one) that has been lying in my toolbox for about 2 years I think and never got built up... looks like there is a whole WHOLE new world of options though... anyone have any experience with these new hubs yet?

So did you notice the iBrakes that are iLight compatable? Can you figure out what general type of brake they are? I'm assuming they are probably drum or roller, but they look like an interesting combination for a wet weather, winter bike. I still think my dream bike has a Rohloff 14 rear with a disc brake. If I just had $4K to waste on a winter beat on bike....

Yeh, I saw it... I just assumed it was a roller brake... good to see a decent line of parts for the commuter cyclist coming out... Aye and I hear yah, I tend to spend too much on my "beaters" and by the time I'm done with them they don't so much resemble a beater as much as I treat them as such... but then again... these "beaters" are my only rides anyway...
