Confront-able Road Bike Saddle's For Commute/Training ??
 

Any one think of Some Nice Confront-able Saddle's?

I like to Ride Saddle a lot for City and I would like to Tour the Bike Trails on the weekdend. Its about 37miles there and back along the river. So I know I want to Relax on the way from time to time.

ANY one Think of Some Nice Saddles that Ride with a little Cushion?

I'm guessing you mean "comfortable."

Let me be the first in what will be a long line of BROOKS B17 suggesters.

I use the B17 Standard Imperial. It's the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden.

You're going to hate that cushion about 10 miles into a 37 mile ride. I had to hear it from a hundred people before I'd believe it, but I quit worrying about my butt after I switched to a Brooks B-67.

Im a big fan of the Fizik Arione. Terry makes a few mens saddles that i hear are good as well. I think Wall Bike has a really good return policy on their Brooks saddles that they sell if you go the internet route.

Gotta say I love my Kona Comfort saddle for a 50 mile ride. Hits my sit bones in the right spots whether I'm forward or up, and it's never in the way.

Brooks was a big fail for me. The B17 was too narrow and the B67 started having the side flare out and create sores (although it was comfortable before that). I'm still looking for someone else.

I've never had a saddle that I liked, but for me, the one that came on my Trek FX 7.5 (bontrager H2 Flex form) has been amazing. It's super comfortable. It has some kind of a platform that it 'floats' on. Not sure exactly how it works, but I found it comfortable right out of the box.

Its like shoes - get one that fits you. A firm one that is wide enough at the back to support your sit-bones, and narrow at the front so it doesnt rub inside of thighs. Set it level or slightly nose up, so you dont slide forward onto the narrow part. Height set so leg is extended at bottom of pedal stroke.

I have a B17 on one bike and a Champion flyer (B17 with springs on another). The B17 is for a bike with a bit more relaxed riding position. If the bars are significantly lower then the saddle then you may want to look at the Brooks Swallow, Swift or Team. I tried putting the B17 on a crit bike and I was miserable. LOVE it on my Touring bikes. REI has their member discounts periodically and I picked up the B17 for $80 + tax on the last 20% off deal.

Sent it back to WallBike.. it happened after only 3 weeks and I wasn't going to modify a new saddle that cost that much in the hopes that it *might* work.
