nice cushy spring saddle
I have two bikes now. The folding bike is more upright so I'm looking for a spring saddle -- recommend any?
Also, my main bike, which drop bars, I might consider spring saddles. Recommendations? |
Brooks ..

Unfortunately, brooks are typically ove $100

Actually, what exactly is the deal with these leather saddles? They seem to me to be more trouble than they're worth -- having to spend hours riding in order to "break them in" and also being a theft target due to their high value and relative ease of removal.
Also, I typically ride in the drops now, making them not so great? |

this to go with the suspension seatpost in your previous thread?
there is a cjeap suspension , it's called getting off of the saddle when you see stuff ahead, and shifting the weight onto your feet, for a moment. I got a Bad bit of pavement right outside my door so I do that all the time on my Brompron or what ever I'm riding.. |
There is a Schwinn store not far from where I live. I found a nice Schwinn sprung saddle there for $15. I am using on a Dahon which came with a sprung saddle that was uncomfortable to me. As a rule I like sprung saddle without thick padding.

Eh, the thing about leather saddles molding to your ass is that...
I've worn birkenstocks and honestly they weren't very good sandals at all. Teva's were more comfortable. Furthermore, foam will also mold itself to fit your ass over time...just like how an old pair of tennis shoes fits your fit more closely. The nashbar vintage saddles appear to have cutouts, actually. |
Birkenstocks are leather.
Birckentocks are not good sandals. Brooks are leather. Therefore, Brooks are not good saddles. Got it. |
