Anybody here commute in San Francisco?
 

I live across the Bay in San Leandro and I just got a semi-regular freelance job in SF. I live too far from the local BART station, and the job's too far from BART for walking to be convenient, but I can work during hours when bikes are allowed on the train so I'm going to ride to BART, then from BART to the job.

The distance is not a problem, no major hills are involved, and urban traffic doesn't spook me. I can park the bike inside at the job, so transvestite bike thieves aren't a threat either. It looks like the worst part will be carrying the Motobecane up the four flights of stairs from the Civic Center station to street level. I'm just wondering if there are any other SF-specific, or big city in general, tips or advice you guys can offer.
