Almost unbelievable.

Riding in this morning I suddenly realized something really odd was happening on the MUP, and it wasn't just that I was setting a record for being early either. There were more people than usual out on the MUP, and until I got up to the last person they were all on the right side of the pathway! Even the dogs were, and they were all on leashes with an attentive owner on the other end of the leash. People even responded positively when I said good morning or thank you to them as I rode by. Hope the rest of you get to have a ride like this some time.

That is a refreshing change.
On a path in Boulder Sunday, I encountered two women pushing strollers side-by-side, obstructing the whole MUP.
They refused to move over for oncoming runners and cyclists, forcing everyone to leave the path and go through the weeds to get around them.
Oh, for an Airzound...

That's what I'm wondering - as well as what the trip home is going to be like. I've got a meeting after work tonight that should last until 8:30, I should have the MUP to myself then.

On the rare occasion that I actually see other folks on the MUP, they and their dogs have been the model(s) of good behavior.

That's the way it was today (both on the way in and on the way home), usually about half of the dogs are running free or running around where ever they want on the end of a long leash. I was pleasantly surprised to see not 1 but 3 people (1 single person and a pair) walking their dogs after dark and using a flashlight. That hasn't happened before, I sure hope it continues.
