Cool Ride Yesterday
 

Was on my way to work yesterday when I saw a light way off down the road. Initially thought it was an on-coming car in the distance. Then realized it was closer than I thought and a single light, so my next thought was motorcycle. But I couldn't hear it; and it was even closer than I thought. I then realized it was a bicycle. A bicycle? I never see another bicycle on my pre-dawn morning commutes to work. Particularly not one running lights.

"G'morning. How's it goin'?" I said as we passed on opposite sides of the highway.

In my rearview mirror I saw the other bike hang a U-turn and start closing on me. He caught up to me and it was Don. My triathlete neighbor from up the street on a training ride. We chatted for a little bit before he turned around again and went on his way.

I never see another bicycle on my pre-dawn morning commutes to work.:)
