9. Do enjoy the ride in or ride home more? They are both great

10. Where did you purchase your primary commuter bike? LBS - Now Bikes and Fitness

11. Whats your commuting pet peeve? At a particular intersection on my commute, traffic from one direction gets a green left-turn arrow which directs them across the normal bike and pedestrian crossing. Pedestrians/bikes may only get a walk signal by pressing the walk button on the light pole, and will only get the walk signal after the cars make the left turn. My pet peeve is cyclists and pedestrians who fail to press the walk button and then block the left turn traffic by crossing during the green turn arrow.

12. How many of your co-workers think you're nuts? I have not driven my car to work in over two years. My coworkers don't really think I would do anything besides bike. Most are impressed by my year-round biking rather than thinking I'm nuts.

There aren't many people here under 30, and I suspect that it reflects bikeforums, not the population of bike commuters.

Many of us started in our teens and twenties. At my work, we have quite a few commuters under 30, but most do not commute more than 3 miles or ride year round. All of our long distance or year round commuters are 35+. This makes sense to me. When I was young, I didn't commute as far or as often as I do now either.

My commute to work and back home are both uphill also.
Maybe his situation is similar to mine. Going to work in the
afternoon, I take the George Washington bridge(NY). But
at night(12am) they close the biker/ped portion of the bridge.
So my other option is to take my bike on the Path train to
cross the Hudson River. So I end up taking different routes
to and from work, both uphill
