2009 Devinci Caribou?

I'm thinking of getting a new bike, and the 2009 Devinci Caribou seem like the bike I like. I'm just curious of what other commuter thinks of it?

I want something for commuting and for long distance travel on a long weekend or something.

I also like the fact that I can add disc brake on it, since I bike pretty much all weather.

Advice and tips would be great! =]

I love the looks of this bike; I even used it as the background on my laptop while going through a recent "I wanna road bike" phase. There is a Devinci dealer close by and the bike looks even better in person. The components are nice and I also like the fact that it has disc brake tabs. I think it would likely be great for what you want it for. The deal breaker for me is that it has an aluminum frameset; I just prefer steel is all. I'm not trying to start a steel vs. aluminum debate... it's totally subjective on my part. That being said, had I test-ridden the bike I might have fallen in love with it, and that's what I think you should do. Test ride the hell out of that sucker and tell us how it went!
