Best saddle for achey tailbone
 

Just got my old (1974) Kabuki DT out of the basement and started riding it again. 24 miles round trip to work. My tailbone aches! I'm 63 but in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in. I have an old Vetta Gel saddle that isn't cutting it. Any suggestions for replacement saddle that might solve this problem? Thanks.--Dave

If you find that magic saddle let me know. Many people spend a lifetime trying to find it. Anyway, what you need to do is keep riding a while your ass will toughin up some then you can go search for a better saddle. For now no saddle is going to be comfortable.

I thought that at first but don't remember my tail bone aching so bad when I used to ride...my ass yes but not so much my tail bone. I noticed some of the new saddles have a cutout in the middle and thought that might help.--Dave

It could be that your seat is just old and broken down the gel may even be dried up or all leaked out. Probably a trip to a lbs and inquire on somthing new.
