Osprey Raptor 18

I just pulled the proverbial trigger on one of these. Mainly it's for my true love (mountain biking), and secondly for my long, recreational road bike rides.

So how about tertiary? Commuting! Anyone use one as a commuting conveyor? I doubt I'd ever use the bladder for commuting, but it does have 1000 cubic inches of "space".

If you have one, or any Osprey pack in general, how do they hold up? Any unforeseen comfort issues?

A penny for those thoughts.

osprey are good packs and their customer service/warranty is good. i dont commute with a backpack though, too sweaty

Yeah, that's why I mainly got the Osprey.... to cut down on the sweat. I've read it's head and shoulders above a Camelbak or other backpack, as far as back sweat goes.

Thanks for the input!

I like my Osprey Manta 25 for my commute... definitely lighter and less sweaty than a comparable Camelbak. I take the bladder out when I'm just commuting, but will put the bladder in for slightly longer rides.

Thought about the Raptor series... decided on the Manta instead :P
