My new commuter... CAAD8 to Gary Fisher Mendota
I have been commuting on my CAAD8 for 3 years. Lately I have been looking at what to get as a dedicated commuter and today brought home the GF Mendota.

here's my medona commuter. its a 2009 model that was heavily discounted from my LBS. Pic taken on Governors Island this month. Thats wallstreet in the background and the staten island ferry. Govenors island is NYC's little biker's utopia (no cars only bikes throughout the whole tiny island) but its only open in the summer until october 10... bummer... I've actually changed it up added some soma sparrow bars and a longer stem. I did have some origin 8 space bars (similar to a milan bar) but it still wasn't as comfortable as I wanted a bar with even more sweep. |
