Bike: 25-30 mins
Public transit: close to 1 hr
Car: I never drove my commute, but it would probably vary between 15 mins and 1 hour, depending on time of day (it can get gridlocked...)

18.9 miles one way. About 75 minutes going, and 65 minutes coming. Add 8 minutes to commute time if I get nailed by a bunch of stop lights.

I live 28 miles from work, and 24 miles of that is interstate, in the opposite direction of the rush hour traffic. So by car it only takes 35 minutes. By bike, it is 30 miles by surface street and takes an hour and fifty minutes. Too long. I've settled into a compromise. I drive about 15 miles and park, which takes about 23 minutes or so, then bike 14.5 miles, which I do in about 50 minutes.

In the morning it takes about 20-25 to drive.
Going home takes 35-40 minutes to drive. (worse traffic)

Longest commute ever on Tuesday. I went 8 miles and it took me 50 minutes. Into the wind all the while biking through several inches of snow on Nokian 106 studded tires. I was really working and was glad I took the long, scenic way in as it was rewarding.

Coming home i went 5 miles in 25 minutes.

20-25 minutes home (up hill)

By car
5-15 minutes depending on traffic and who is driving (I don't own a car, and can't legally drive)

Weird. That' the first time I've heard someone make a relevant time related point like that. Makes me feel old. Lol

Oh, 7.5 miles and 30 minutes by bike uphill (19 minutes w/wind at back and downhill going home) 17 -21 minutes by car consistent.

Bike times are total times - lights and stops included.

4.5 miles one way.
Flat, no hills.
25 min on a bike one way.
15 min in a car one way.
My commute seems to be against the commuting masses, I ride out of town to get to work.
