Today some dude in a car blew through a stop sign (I didn't have a stop), slammed on his brakes when he saw me, then yelled "You ain't no car!" Pure genius.

I've been told to get on the bike path... when the nearest path was like 4-5 miles from where I was.

Should have said "Get a bike!". That kind of suggestion would probably be lost on on a person like that, though.

"I already have one!"

I must say, I'm almost jealous reading this thread! I never get any of those harassment while commuting, what I am doing wrong? LOL.

You ride too fast.

Wow - smacks of another incident that happened to me...I was travelling up an undivided street (i.e. no lane markings) to the right and as I was passing some parking on my right an oncoming truck started turning from the left to get into one of the spaces next to me. He sees me, comes to a sudden stop (gut wrenching moment that he was going to t-bone me; no he didn't signal and there was no indication he was going to turn). He then flips me off. !! I say, "I have the right of way!" He yells back, snottily, "No you don't...!" just like a snotty little kid. I ride way and say, "Oncoming traffic...duh!" Sadly he likely didn't get the point.

This was just after an encounter with lady who was blocking my lane of travel on another street and didn't want to put her car into reverse (you know how hard that is) so I could get by. I won that battle and she immediately ran a red light afterwards. You know, 'cause it's all my fault.:twitchy:

This is almost exactly the same as what happened to me recently, but I yelled some profanities at the driver when he told me to get on the sidewalk. He decided he wanted to be menacing and follow me down the road in his beat up truck with no working tail lights until I got off my bike and held out my arms in the universal "wanna go?" signal. At this point he drove off. Unfortunately, my Superflash fell out of its housing during this and it began to rain before I noticed it was missing. RIP little blinky light.

I prefer to say "lick my arse".

Maybe we need a "my ultra-super-cool-incredibly-durable-and-high-quality Superflash broke" thread. Seems like everybody has nothing but praise for their third or fourth warranty-or-not replacement PBSF.

It worked great until its insides got rained on.
