Happiness with performance (grip, ride quality etc):Grip is all right, comfort is great Previous tire used Panaracer Hiroad V What tire will you try next:Not sure yet Where do you live?Boise Idaho Comments:I mainly bought the tires because i found them on sale for 20 bucks/pair shipped to my door and im cheap so i couldn't refuse the deal, i have the 90psi model but with how little i weight when commuting i keep the at about 70psi. This spring im gonna try them on a tour will probably bring the all the way up to 90 to handle the weight better. All in all its not a bad tire like i said the only flat i got was from a screw and it even managed to break a nipple so no complaints there, beware though make sure your rim is a 559 as it really doesn't like going on anything else. |

How many miles you get on the tires: 12,000 km and still going Your weight (or leave blank): 145 pounds What kind of roads you ride (city, open road, mup etc): road, trail, mup, singletrack, snow Number of flats per year: 0 Happiness with puncture resistance: 10/10 Happiness with performance (grip, ride quality etc): 10/10 Previous tire used: many What tire will you try next: Will replace with the same tyres. Where do you live? Canuckistan Comments: These tyres are pushing 12,000 km now and have never flatted, still look like they have a lot of life left in them, and served me well through 12 months of the year. Just picked up a new Hurricane as a possible spare and aside from the new lettering the new tyre and the old ones look like they have almost the same amount of tread. I think I would be hard pressed to get better mileage from a Marathon and the Hurricane is lighter and rolls out just as quickly. |

Brand name + model: Kenda Kwests Tire size: 700x28 Tire pressure (psi): 75 - 80 (max is 85psi) How long used for: 1 yr Annual mileage: 1200 How many miles you get on the tires: see above Your weight (or leave blank):12 stones What kind of roads you ride (city, open road, mup etc):gravel trail, broken roads, MUPs Number of flats per year: 1 (but that's due to inside rim imperfection). Happiness with puncture resistance: Of course! Happiness with performance (grip, ride quality etc): Happy enough because they cost me $10/tire! Previous tire used: Bontrager something. What tire will you try next: Kenda Kwest likely. But I have a set of Panaracer RibMo that I got for dirt cheap. Would like to try Continentals Where do you live? Not US Comments: For the money, I am happy with the Kendas. They are a bit heavy and the sidewall is hard! A beotch to mount vs. the Specialized. However I cannot complain much considering I got them at $10/tire and the ground surface I subject them to. |

Brand name + model: Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase Tire size: 700 x 32 Tire pressure (psi): 110, but I usually run 95 to 100 <-- Are you asking what psi you use, or what the tire can take? How long used for: 1 year, 1 month Annual mileage: 1800 How many miles you get on the tires: So far 1900 Your weight (or leave blank):197 What kind of roads you ride (city, open road, mup etc): All of these Number of flats per year: 4 to 5 Happiness with puncture resistance: Somewhat as one puncture was due to a carpet tack, another was a sidewall splinter from wood debris, the other thorns. The tread area seems puncture resistant but not the shoulders next to the tread. Happiness with performance (grip, ride quality etc): Happy. Ride is nice. Only one grip issue, but it was due to rain wet pavement paint, probably my fault. Rolling resistance seems OK. Previous tire used: Michelin City, which I thought were too heavy What tire will you try next: Gatorskins in 700 x 28, probably, or perhaps Panaracers Where do you live? CA Bay Area Comments: These were stock tires on my Trek 7.5 FX. I like light tires with good puncture resistance, and ability to take at least 90 psi. These Bontragers seem to be a good compromise. I'd buy them again but they seem to be hard to find and fairly expensive. |
