Fenix Bike Flashlight Mount, is it useful?
I just have seen this Fenix Bike Flashlight Mount http://www.everbuying.com/Fenix-Bike...gn-p-8739.html , it is said that have many functions, has anyone use it. Worthy to buy?

The fenix mount is not that good. If you are using a smaller light, twofish lockblocks work fine, for bigger lights there are several better options..

That's my auction, I can't believe they're almost all gone!
I agree that there are better options for larger lights, I bought a bunch of these for all my bikes, and they're tough and simple. I have to admit that I would like to have a tiny bit of side-to-side adjustability, my mounts point slightly off-center on one of my bikes due to the handlebar shape, but I don't think the complexity of the Fenix light is a good trade-off. |
I do not use flashlight mount

I had that flashlight mount and didn't like it. Because it could rotate the light would bounce a little and was distracting for me.
I have the Twofish Lockblock for my Fenix O-Lights. For my P7's I have this bicycle mount. Since I don't use the O-lights to much any more I used the lockblock to attach it to my helmet. |

I had a terrible experience with the twofish mount. Too flimsy for my light. I ended up using the Fenix mount. I installed it on the bike, set it to the position I wanted and then squirted some clear caulk into the gap between the two swivel pieces. This has lasted a long time and the light doesn't bounce around now. The problem with these mounts is when you tighten the top and the bottom parts the two base surfaces flex opening the gap making them swivel more loosely. The clear caulk is a little ghetto, but it does the trick. If you clean up the excess while its still set, you cant even tell its there.
