Bicycle security cover?

Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has ever come across a security product that allows you to fully cover and lock up your bike. The kind of thing I'm looking for would be slash proof and allow for full coverage of bike and accessories.

There was an Australian student that devised something like this that sparked my interest in such a thing but that has not come to market.

You can see that here: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/newinventors/txt/s2874704.htm

Many thanks,

i haven't heard of anything similar. one could put all their crap in a hard shell pannier locked to the frame if carrying it was the only concern. it seems her main gripe was having to remove all of her accessories, so that probably wouldn't be a viable solution if your concern was the same.

Got one!
It's called a 'garage'!
Realize not too many homes in Japan come with garages . . .

Ya, unfortunately places exist that don't meet North American standards of frivolous usage of space.

My main concern is I'm in a situation at the moment where I'm not able to do my usual commute so would like to leave my bike at a mates building and commute half the normal distance. Problem is the parking is used by all in the building so just wanted something that would make it semi secure and hidden from prying eyes.

^ i see...don't know about cost, but i presume one could have something similar made if the slash-resistant material was readily available.

not an answer: but I'm thinking a beater bike is the answer here.

Just like car thieves, bike thieves would soon realize that anything under a cover is going to be halfway decent and could even have a bunch of bonus goodie accessories.

I am assuming you emailed her and asked her about it. Did she only have one made or where there others?
