Light recommendations..... (current light: PT EOS)
So I currently have the Princeton Tec EOS light, which is, from what I understand, a pretty good light. I've only done a couple of "night" rides with it as a solo light and wasn't all that pleased with it's performance. It works, but I feel like it could be better.
Looking at my schedule for next semester (depending on how this Cal 3 final goes...) It looks like I'll have night classes monday-thursday. I currently only ride on days I don't have night classes. I don't want to stop riding 4 days a week. I'd like to stick to a AA type light (no rechargeable lumps) so is there any other light that can beat it? I could justify up to about 100 bucks for a good light. Especially considering my motorcycle battery looks like it's nearly dead.... |
Maybe a Planet Bike 2 watt, 1 watt is a be seen light 2 AA rechargables or what ever. 2 w is recent.
Other than that I have an older Nightrider Sport battery pack on cord 5 D cells upgrade pack of D NiMH and recharger mens they get recharged in place , rather than come out and be recharged as before. though a LED Upgrade on the AA Maglight seems adequate, as a be seen light. 2 fish rubber block velcros the lamp to the handlebar. handlebar, |
Fenix and Terralux seem to be the consensus favorites in the AA/AAA bicycle light market. Some TwoFish lockblocks and you should be good to go.

Socal rider has post about newer AAA lights that put out more (300 lumens?) than the Terralux in the electronics forum, did you see this?

The Electronics forums scares me more than cars sometimes. I think they are inhabited by cyborgs, the amount of knowledge some of those guys have.
