Strong Wheels

I'm building a new commuter this winter and have some options on wheels.

For about the same price I can get Mavic open pro on 36h Ultegra hubs or Mavic A319 on 32 hole Ultegra. Both would be 3X laced. Is there any reason to choose one over the other? these will be going on a '87 Trek 400 Reynolds 531 main tube steel frame with Ultegra 10 spd triple, 700 X 25 tires.
I'm about 150# and carry about 10# in a single pannier on beat to crap midwestern roads, 25m/day.

I'm leaning toward the 36 hole just from past experience of older 36 hole holding up well to the abuse they receive.

the open pros will hold up for you. the a319 is a heavier rim and overkill in this case. build quality is very important. much less than components.
