I found my bike and it is good
Over the last few days I have been plagued by mechanical problems.
I replaced my BB and pedals. I had my rear and front retensioned and trued.
I switched from powergrips back to cages and straps. Today I made the change that changed everything.
I bought Pake Space Straps. Um Awesome. These things at $22 are the greatest things. I could have bought Cadence double leathers, but for my commuter I needed something that I felt would last. These things feel as if they will last for a long while.
They keep their shape, hold tight onto your foot, do not stretch, and let you come out easy despite the snugness of the strap. I flew home today. I had so much power.
Some may be better than me, but today I did a 6.5% continuous grade for 1.5 miles in 39/25. This was a first for me.
I felt great. Had so much power. It was cool.
