Kenda Kross Plus Front/Rear Slick XC Tire, 26 x 1.95"

What is the correct way to mount these tires? I paid a LBS to install the tires on my rims and I'd just like to make sure they were installed the correct way (pattern going the right way).

Does the sidewall indicate any particular rotational direction?

Those little chevrons in the center of the tire should be pointing forward when looking down at the top of the wheel.

Just to verify this is the correct way the tire should be mounted? When looking straight at the bike from the front (as seen in pic).

If you are standing in front of the bike and looking straight at the tire as pictured, it is on backwards. As CliftonGK1 mentioned, when you are standing over the bike and looking straight down, those channels in the slick part of the tire should be facing forward.

That's really not a directional pattern. Seems irrelevant.

Ok, so I am wondering if I should go and get my tires put on the other way or not because right now they are mounted like they look in the pic. Is there any difference in all in the ride with the tire mounted either way?

Are you incapable of changing your own tires? If you don't have this skill yet (and everyone needs to learn at some point) why not just go back to the shop, buy yourself some nice tire levers, and practice taking a tire on and off the rim. It's a good thing to know how to do, at some point you will have a blow out and need to change a tube or pick pointy things out of the inside of a tire. This will usually happen when you're running behind and it's raining.

If it's the front tire (and you have v-brakes or cantis) undo your noodle, open your quick release, and flip the tire around.
