The sign says "Park here ->"

... the sign on the same pole also says "No parking ->"

$300 for 30 minutes in the impound. Yep. Should have taken the bike for the 1.5 mile trip to the barber. Would be cheaper.

This reminds me of a time one of a friend of mine went to go give plasma. He parked in the wrong parking lot and got towed. So instead of being $30 "richer" or whatever the money he recieved went to pay the $100 or so at the impound. Fortunately its not too expensive here.

High crime area and nowhere to lock it up out of the walkway. I should have locked it to a street sign I guess.

The street I walked down to the impound? I have a huge dent on the back of my car. I was driving home at 2am once, down that street, and waiting at a light while a couple gangs were firing bullets. One guy was ducking behind my car as a bullet shield and then firing over the trunk. You know, the usual stuff, nothing exciting. Anyway, he moved, went elsewhere, and the guy in the parking garage (in a car) decided he didn't want to wait, so came out, hit my car, pushed my car, then ran the red light I was waiting at. Crazy, huh? Could have waited for the light to turn.
