Splurged a bit and got some Sugoi padded shorts. Man, what a revelation! I normally get cheap-o Nashbar/Performance shorts but the Sugoi are so much more comfortable. No more cheap shorts for me.

I bought a Biologic Flashmount Mount (flashlight holder) and a cheap little Sigma BC 1009 bike computer for my folder.

Last week, a Cygolite Hotshot - I very much like it, for $27 it's now on my "recommended" list for people not willing to or who don't need to buy a full lighting system.

I've been playing with 808 #16 keychain cameras and like them OK but I decided to order up a Contour Roam, it should be here Monday or Tuesday. The 808 was OK but the lack of waterproofness was a killer especially in April here in Michigan.

I have a roam, and it's pretty cool.

I bought a new Park PCS-10 from an Ebay dealer for $139 and put it together yesterday. Impressively constructed, highly versatile, just the ticket for home maintenance.

Our daughter bought a Klean Kanteen for Mom for Mother's Day coming.

Bought new cranks with my spring tuneup this year. I'd managed to bend a crank arm when I slid out on the ice in the fall.

The only thing that concerns me about the Roam is that the battery is not field-replaceable and I will be running it 2 hours a day 5 days a week all year. It's likely to last a couple of years, I just hope that when the time comes for a new battery that A) they'll still be available, and B) they won't charge me $100 to do the replacement. Normally I'd do the replacement myself but they make a lot of noise about maintaining the integrity of the waterproofing.

Light, bag, tools, and a tire last week and neopren shoe cover yesterday! I saved 175$ approx. on gas in the last month and just spend it in the last week on my bike!

Those blackburn lights have been giving me problems. On one ride I turned the red light on and when I finished it was off. Also, it's become hard to turn it on/off. I'll have to invest in some better ones.

Got these tonight. The shoes by themselves made a world of difference. I haven't tried clipping in yet. I just installed the pedals.

Surly's Front Nice Rack. I got it for my bikes birthday this year, the rear rack is from his birthday last year.

Let us know how that saddle is working out for you. I am thinking of getting one also.
Thanks!

Beautiful!

As for me, I'm gearing up for what will be, BY FAR, my most ambitious cycling weekend to date. 20-mile trip on Saturday, and a 24-mile on Sunday. For me, that's a lot. So, I needed a couple spare tubes, as well as another bottle cage and bottle.

Bought a pair of Ortleib waterproof classic back rollers (red) to (finally) replace the crummy pair of M. E . C brand waterproof panniers that never clipped properly onto the rear rack. The Ortliebs clip like a dream and I haven't experienced any heel strike (unlike the previous pair that nearly flew off the rack because I constantly kicked them and due to lousy clips).
