I bought the whole darn bike! Haven't settled on any specific handlebar and stem but that will most likely be my next purchase on Friday! I love the Redline 925 but I prefer road bars instead. The handlebars and a kickstand are in order for Friday!

This is my latest bike related purchase just tonight. I think its a 1987 Schwinn Le Tour and it seems like its in pretty good shape. I already switched out the seat from a white San Marco that needs re-glued and pedals since I don't use toe-clips. It came with fenders and a rack so now its ready to go. I plan on riding this to work tomorrow to see how I like it. It feels really good as I was doing some adjustments on the trainer. I like that it has relaxed geometry. Here is a crappy basement pic. =P

Nice bike. I love the older Schwinn bikes. I had a 1973 Schwinn Varsity but the axle, cassette and chain broke on me. I gave the frame to a friend but will be looking for another older Schwinn to purchase. Right now I am happy with the newer bike I have but will be replacing my old friend Mr. Schwinn sometime soon.

There are so many nice Schwinns out there. There is a Schwinn Premis that I have had my eye on, but its probably a size too big and I found I don't like the more aggressive geometry of alot of bikes. I love the matching white components and purple fade paint though. LOL I couldn't turn this bike down since it had fenders and a rack on it.

Totally agree about all the nice Schwinns out there. I am specifically talking about older Schwinns! I would have bought it too!

Commuter, new chain, rear cassette, front crank and cogs, bottom bracket and pedals. Had 5000 km on the last set, which also had 5000 km on it. This bike now has 10,000 km (about 6000 miles), pretty good for a 1,100 RMB (AUD$155, USD$168) cheap Giant.

My most recent purchase: bottom bracket, front derailleur, FSA headset, chain, 8 speed cassette, Shimano shifter/break levers, Avid SD-7 v-brakes, seatpost, and a couple other goodies and needed items for my Surly LHT build.

I'd hoped for the build to happen last Saturday, but the coop wasn't open. Hoping now to do the build this weekend.

New wheels for my fixed gear commuter.

36 hole deep Vs with formula hubs.

I was tired of popping spokes on my old wheels, and with the coming of spring it's time to start commuting regularly on the fixed gear again.

Cool! My last purchase was more chain lube, and I'm going to buy my sister a mirror for her vintage Schwinn so she'll be comfortable enough to ride it more. Enjoy the trip, and don't forget to let us know how it goes.
