Buying new bike, need accessory/add on help

Hey guys, I've got an order in for a new cross check to be my daily commuter. I currently live in Hawaii where it's either warm to muggy or raining, so I need some help with accessories for mah new bike.

I assume the default tires on the CC will be ok for the riding I'm going to be doing... 16 miles round trip, wet/dry asphalt, some patches of dirt/mud, but should I think about getting different tires? And would any fender that fits 700c x 32mm tires work just fine?

I'd also like to get a back rack and probably some sort of trunk bag, pretty much the only thing i'm going to be taking to and from work is my uniform (ABUs and boots) and probably lunch, so I'm going to need something big enough to carry that in. Any suggestions?

Money isn't a problem, though I'd like to keep things at a reasonable cost

Any other suggestions or comments are appreciated! Thanks

The popular fenders, Planet Bike and SKS, for example, are easy to install. I've had a set of Planet Bike fenders on 2 of my bikes for 5 years. Still working fine. Not sure what size you need, but probably something > 40 mm.

Sounds like you might need some rain gear. I carry a Campmor rain poncho, which is light and compact and does a reasonable job keep rain off. I never leave home without it.

A suggestion for the fenders, look for models that offer an emergency break away feature The sizing on fenders is a bit odd the width listed on the packaging is not the width of the tire it will take so be careful when purchasing.
