Not quite a salmon
 

I was on my way home this morning, I saw an older woman riding along in the same direction on the other side of the road, completely off the road, more like being on the sidewalk except that there isn't a sidewalk there.
I thought about stopping and offering my thoughts on the subject. I decided to mind my own and continue on my merry. Now I am second guessing myself. Should I have stopped and educated her?
Thoughts??

What would you tell her?

She was riding in the grass/dirt/gravel alongside the road? As long as she didn't appear to be struggling I would have let her be. The only thing I'd be concerned about is that she'd be crossing intersections from the wrong side and in a place no one would look.

I would let her go about her way unless she looked confused or lost or something.

Typically, if another cyclist appears to be having some kind of problem, I'll ask if everything is ok, and then act appropriately based on their answer. This weekend I helped some lady take her kid's brakes apart so she could pull his jacket out of the wheel. She tried to leave before we hooked the brake back up.

I guess I did the right thing, like 10 wheels mentioned, she was off the road. Which was why I decided to continue on my merry.

I don't think she was doing anything wrong. But, as mentioned, intersections could be bad.

There is a spot on my commute where, on the way home, I have about a 1/2 mile where the road is 50mph and pretty busy. There is a narrow grassy area beside the road, and I choose to ride that instead. I do it on the right side of the road, but only because that seems to work better. And I only go from one intersection to the next intersection.
