Re, Rain Capes, trousers less needed, front of body ventilates well ..
Where'd you get yours? I haven't been able to find anyone local that supplies cycling specific ones. one from C.A.T, in Eugene . is lighter fabric, also in larger sizes, to choose amongst. J&G is another OR company to offer one. Log House thru Campmor, is a coated nylon, modestly priced, 1 size, inc. hood. Carradice comes from England , US vendors , several , or some ship from there.. pro route is bright ,nylon, coated, duxback is waxed cotton, darker colors.. |

I got the Grundens welded PVC/nylon one from Rivendale , there are others that weigh less , one from C.A.T, in Eugene . is lighter fabric, also in larger sizes, to choose amongst. I think the largest problem I have with most bike rain capes is they have no hoods. |
For a reason, the turning your head and seeing just the inside of the hood
won't be useful. then a helmet rain cover which will turn with your head is better... I, at least, wear a Baseball cap, underneath, to help hooded parkas turn somewhat with my head. I have just a low traffic rural like road , to travel for the most part, here, where you have traffic in Metro Denver, I expect. |
Hi everyone,
