First Commute for #3 Son

Brandon recently moved back from Texas on the promise of a job at a local shipyard. That fell through, but a local boatyard hired him, and today was his first day. The boatyard is just about 5 miles from the house so naturally a bike commute was in order. He bike commuted to work during the two years he was in Austin. I am retired and asked if I could join him on his first commute. Commuting was always the highlight of my work day. Back in the day.

Brandon likes to hammer when he rides but today he realized that a mild 15-17 MPH is a good commuting speed on a road bike. I took a couple of photos to commemorate the day. Naturally on the way home I stopped at the local Dunkin Donuts for a coffee and since I am riding, a bagel for second breakfast.
