First Commute!
 

After months of talking about it but never following through I finally rode in to work today. That was some of the most fun I've had in a while. I was a little discouraged on the way in as there was more traffic on my chosen route than is the norm and it being quite hot, but after choosing a different route for the ride home I'm reassured I want to make this a habit. I really enjoyed the trip home in the dark. I completed the 17.8 mile commute in one hour ten minutes on the way in, and an hour and a half on the way back(I took my time and enjoyed the view of the moon.) Just thought I'd share.

That's kind of how it was before I did my first commute. Everytime we would drive the route I would tell my wife how I think I could do it and it didn't look that bad. It got to a point where she said, "Just do it and stop talking about it already"... the next day I did my first commute. And yes, riding home at night is really enjoyable.
