Does this still count as commuting?
Saw this the other day. I don't think the guy gets the concept.http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...motorcycle.jpg

Looks like he's car free and getting stuff done like a boss.

Motorcycle was in the shop. He rode his bike there to pick it up and is on the way home.
That's my guess. Why do I think this? Because my motorcycle is in the shop and I'm trying to figure out how to go pick it up. |

I'm fortunate to have good bus service between my office and the shop. However, I recently needed a tire mounted, and I was considering wearing the tire like a belt as I rode the motorcyle to the shop. Decided to ask my wife to drive it there in the car instead.

Or his bicycle is busted and he's taking it to the LBS for repairs.

I have ridden home with new tires on several occations, I wore them bandolier style over one shoulder. I have even carried a wheel home with me after having it relaced, I strapped that one to the back of a backpack.
As for transporting bicycle parts on my bicycle, the most memorable occasion was when I rode home with a new frame slung over my shoulder. When I got to my building, some guy saw me and started laughing his head off, and remarked that he always carries an extra frame, just in case. |
