Ergon GX3-L Fitment

Hey all,
Bottom Line Up Front: Will an Ergon GX-3L grip fit on a bike with grip-shifters? The length I have available to play with is 4.1" (10.4 cm). If it's too long, will the handle still be able to be mounted well if I cut off the extra length? (Haven't installed grips since I was a kid on my bike and those were just cheapy slide-ons that moved all over the place)

Long story is that I decided I wanted to change the angle of the bar-ends on my Novara Buzz and the things had so much thread-lock on them that one bolt wouldn't budge and I stripped it out. I drilled it out a little and tried a cobalt screw extractor and that puppy broke off, too. So, I had to cut the bolt to get the bar-end off. So, an-upgrading-I-will-go.

Thanks for the advice!

only have a GC3 set.. reading from the instructions:
grip shift grip width, uses 105 mm of bar length, per end.
standard, 35mm more ..

German machining , the bar needs to be 22.20 mm
I found Powder coat layer has to come off, if over that.

I don't know about the Leichtbau models but the Ergon GC3 has a grip shifter model.
