CNN did a spot on daily commutes
And it's probably not what you're thinking...
http://ireport.cnn.com/blogs/ireport...deo?hpt=hp_bn2 Someone should submit a more, uh, interesting commute. Their videos are quite boring :). |
I was expecting a bicycle commute further down the page but kept watching the car commutes just for comparisons sake. What a boring lot those guys are. The one who went on about how beautiful her commute was... all I saw was the back of the car she was stuck behind. BORING!

CNN interviewed me a couple years ago. 20-30 seconds of the video was used. the rest was some ER doc rant about how unsafe bikes were. never again. as for car commutes? really? how dull.

this is stupid. You haven't lived until you've pulled off to the side of PCH to listen to the seals barking below the bluffs? Really? No, you haven't lived until you've ridden along PCH and took it in at 10mph instead of blasting past it all. And this ignores the fact that most people don't commute on PCH. Most people commute on the 10, 710, 405, 60, 5, and so on here in Los Angeles. There is nothing scenic about those freeways. Nothing.

I'm surprised that corporate media is promoting scenic commuting over the improving public transit here in LA given the ecological crises. I don't understand it. Why??
