Anyone using Jagwire Sleek Pro Cross Brake Pads?
I’m considering these https://jagwireusa.com/index.php/prod...Pro_Cross_Lite for my Soma Double Cross.
The bike now has the Tektro Oryx cantilever units with the original pads. I need to improve the tire clearance so that I can fit 700x35 tires or larger. Getting a fully inflated 700x32 tire past the OE brake pads is very tight, since the brake shoe extends back within the fork blades.
It looks like the Jagwire Sleek Pro Cross brake pads do not extend back within the fork blades and allow the brake arms to open completely.
If I order the Jagwire Sleek Pro Cross brake pads, should I order threaded or smooth type to fit the Tektro Oryx cantilever units?

First you would want to inflate the tire AFTER you have inserted it, would be a lot easier that way. Second I have a hard time switching to anything else but Kool Stop pads especially the salmons or the all weather set. You can get the inserts to fit right into your Tektro set and they're dirt cheap, $8 at best. This is probably not the answer you were looking for but the Kool Stops are just the best I have used.
