Echo-J6 Cyclocomputer Help!!!!

hi there I have an echo-j6 cyclocomputer.

Recently the screen started flickering 'km/h' I pressed the main button(and only one) and it switched to 'mp/hr' I thought maybe the battery was dead since i've had it for a few years. I switched the batteries and the first thing i saw on the screen was a set of flashing numbers that were repeating themselves. I pressed the mode button and then the 'km/hr' was flashing. I press mode again and it switches to 'mp/hr' Currently I am stuck on that level. I have tried holding the mode button down but it does nothing. I've tried pressing it very quickly and in different patterns but it does nothing. I reluctantly even pressed the reset button on the back, but again it does nothing. I've pressed all these combinations while the computer was in my hands and while it was secured on the bike with its contacts.

Is there something im missing? Please help?

I had roughly 1830km logged. If the unit is malfunctioning and its time for a new model, is there a model out there where I can set it to start at 1830, there where the old unit left off?

Thanks
