Had a previous post getting advice on what bikes to target etc... being newer to commuting. THink i have found one and I am Looking at buying a Fisher Tassajara, its an 06 model with disc breaks etc... over all seemingly in good shape and supposedly not ridden much. I am wondering if this bike would be a good choice for me to convert to a daily commuter and what you think it would be worth in say good/excellant shape etc... Reason i am targeting this bike is it is the correct size, newer model and reputable name brand. Was wondering if there are any downsides to this bike and if there was any idea what its worth being a few years old?

I'd guess about $575 tops if in really good shape.

I wouldn't run it because I'm not down with suspension on my commuters but your commute may be different.

Looks like there's a Tass' Disc GS version also. Subtract maybe $150 for top end price on the GS.

You should be able to find 'em cheaper than that with a little patience, however.

There's a couple around here up. $400 and $500 asking prices. I'm guessing they're not the GS model.
