Nice ride both ways today. A bit chilly in the morning 38f but mid 50s on the way home. Haven't mounted the DIY lights yet, so I'm still avoiding night riding. But that's not gonna last long.

32F and frost. Great return ride. In the past 2 weeks I've been putting on 135mi/week. This week will be less.

Ride to work was okay; 48F. Ride home was PUNISHING with strong gusts of wind, probably 41F. I had one layer too many on top, one layer too few on the bottom. Gotta fix that.

Whenever I think my commute is hard I just thing about you people with your snow and freezing temps.

"Cold," is usually a relative and subjective term. IMO, though, and objectively, if the temperature is such that water will freeze (and thus, so will I), then it's cold. That being said:

36F/2C with light winds and clear. Not quite "cold" yet, but it's certainly a reasonable facsimile.

This morning, I'm in the right lane, I have the lane, I'm first at a red light. This dirt bag in a SUV pulls up next to me crowding the lane, taps my arm with his freakin' mirror.

I look over and it's this fat 20-30 something guy mumbling to himself. I shine my helmet light right in his face and the freakin' coward won't even turn to look at me.

They are all so brave when their 4 tons are moving, but when they are stopped they're wimps!

Rest of the ride was fine, I was just so PO'd!

That sucks, it's so weird how people think they're invisible when in a car.

Today was the first time I could ride the bike to work this week, I hate not being able to ride (had to take the car in for oil change, and take the son to school the past few days). It was so nice, slightly cool and overcast.

Raw. I'm not sure why I felt so chilled. Up too late last night maybe. It was in the upper 20s, F, with clear skies. Arrived at work just as the sun was lighting up the snow-capped Adirondacks across Lake Champlain. Pretty.

Some puddles of water had a crust of ice on top. Others were all liquid. Saw a flock of geese in the water.

Nice partial commute this morning. Low 40s, clear skies, I just rode slowly and enjoyed it.

I'm more worried about tomorrow with cold rain. Maybe I'll stop by Target on the way home to find something more to wear.

Chilly. 40 degrees F, into a wind of about 10 mph. Still warming up.

Chance of rain today, so i took the old beater (70's Iverson 3 speed)

Muggy & on the most uncomfortable saddle ever made, but my girlfriend rides this bike a lot more than I do, and she LOVES this saddle, so it stays on

On the way to and from work, I pass Tropicana field, where the World series is being held.....Yesterday, on the way home, there was a HUGE block party going on and the street was closed off to cars, so weaving through the herd of fans was a blast! This morning though, the stink of stale beer all over the street about knocked me off my bike! ha

31F...saw two other commuters, then at an intersection at the end of the MUP, four of us pulled up together and one dude said, "Man, traffic jam on the bike path!"

24F this morning. Brr...
Only 9 degrees above our usual winter low temps. I am making my usual yearly attempt at keeping my feet warm. It is almost time to order a couple items that I hope may help.

Now that I am in the new building I am unsure if I like locking up in the garage or not. It is strange not having my bike near me. bleh...

So warm today!!!! We had to ride the detour like yesterday, but it was fine. I screwed myself over a mere two blocks from work. I took the far right lane because it was empty, thinking I could swing back over to the mid-left lane, but I boxed myself in with right-turning traffic. I had to go an extra 6 blocks to loop back, sitting through 5 lights. Oh well, more time on the bike is always good.

Nice ride in this morning.
43F or so. I didn't dress quite right. I need to find some riding shorts. Today I wore a bib with a pair of compression tights over them, mountain bike jersey (long sleeve) and my PI vest, full finger gloves and a Headsweats skullcap under my helmet.
My arms and legs were just too chilly. Too much for my liking anyway. I'd rather sweat my arse off.
legs are also weak this morning. Lots of burn. Probably a good thing I'll be driving tomorrow. Need a little rest before saturday's ride.

GO PHILLIES!!! WOO-HOOOOOOO!!!! (ahem... sorry. Had to get that outta my system). Anyhoo, commute this morning in 34-degrees, very light winds compared to yesterday, when I was confronted with a 27 mph headwind gust at the Kelly Drive MUP. These winds off the Schuylkill river are killing me. When it's calm, I cruise along at 20 mph. When it's windy like this, I'm down to 14 mph (if I'm lucky).

I've never used, so please forgive my ignorant question. Here goes: how impaired would she be, driving her car during/after smoking? Not so sure I like the idea of being on the roads on my bike when drivers are, um, indulging.

Was running late this morning and rushed the commute as a result. Much less traffic on the road at 8:30 than at 7:30, which was a pleasant change. No temperature difference though.

Slept in, hung out with my daughter and read Yertle the Turtle. Then made pancakes and took a leisurely ride to work on the FG. A very pleasant morning.

Got to work late today and stayed late. Not much traffic on my MUP. Just cold enough to keep most people away. It was a nice refreshing ride home.
