No problems, although I buggered my headlight and had to fab a new one at 11:00 last night. Booooo! The new one is a 20W halogen overvolted to ~15V. Bright, but running super hot. I'll have to see if I can find a better housing for it, 'cause I could smell it burning the plastic.

Completely wimped out. Woke up sick, and called into work. I'm not going in. I won't be going outside at all today, but I may spend a little time doing maintenance on the bikes.

Awesome ride this morning.
was about 43F. I had a few good layers of clothes on and my legs were fine. Hands were cold. I gotta remedy that. My neoprene gloves (Specialized Equinox) aren't working anymore.

4C this am in Toronto, windy, light rain. It was cold enough to ride fairly fast with no worries about sweating, but there was some wet leaf slime to contend with so I was cautious in places. I skipped the ear band and my ears were cold until I got a couple of km south - even on my 8km commute you can feel a slight weather change as you head downhill towards Lake Ontario. Fingers a bit cold when I locked up. I need some wet weather fall gloves.

set out at 7:40, very fresh day, lovely autumnal morning sunshine, on with the deerstalker hat to keep my lugs toasty. coming home at 4:30 the sun was on the wester so a chance to try my revised homebrew lighting system, after the morning ride's charge had run down my lights seem a bit dim. ok it's a 1963 sturmey archer dynohub and it only kicks out 0.3amps but thought it should be brighter as i have 3X 0.1amp bulbs; 2 tail lights, 1 head light, dynohub run through a rectifier, capacitor and 5X 1.2 volt ni mh batteries wired up in parallel a la sheldon brown. took a bulb out of one of my tail lights and it seems a tad brighter but hoping i won't blow a bulb on the high speed downhill going to work.

left gloves at home, that sucked. 30s and windy but still wore shorts - wasn't bad once I got moving.

going home with Nu-Teck airless for first time. I'm trying to be fair, but I don't think I'll keep them on. Otherwise, commute was uneventful. It took me 4 minutes longer and I think that is in part due to the tires.
There wasn't any wind.
I just put lights on because it's getting darker, but not dark, during the hours I commute. Drivers were closer than ever - moths to a flame, maybe?

Michigan's weather today has been like it always is here.
2:30pm - Sunny partly cloudy
3:15pm - Complete cloud coverage, and sleet (stings a bit on the face)
4:30pm - Partly couldy, light wind
5:00pm - Tried to dutch my friends bike to shop for repairs, it was too small and had to walk it with mine for 2miles
5:45pm - cold, high wind, SLEET SLEET SLEET, 25mph winds, was starting to hurt from so much hail and high winds, so i stopped at the coffee shop.
6:00pm - Constant drizzel, clear skys, nice sun set and rainbow
The cold weather has officially hit.

I probably shouldn't be allowed to use the term "cold front" when some of you ride in real cold weather; however, we had one pass through last night that resulted in steady 15-20 mph headwinds for my seven mile commute this morning. That was tough but it sure was fun coming home with that tailwind!!!

started in a really bad mood. The hills seemed taller traffic more hostile weather colder than reasonable. once i got over the third climb, got into it and all was good. Except for the bit about ducking down the frontage road in front of the big fire station...
I figure a bicycle is to small to get in the way if there happens to be a true emergency just at the split second i ride by.

YIKES.. that's how I sum up today. Most of the ride was great with the exception of almost smashing into a minivan. I was coming down a hill around 35 MPH when a minivan pulled in front of me on a left turn. Luckily last minute he saw me.... I escaped by about 4 - 5 inches.... I talked to him after and he apologized. Didn't yell at him just asked him to be more cautious.

Kind of cold today, if this keeps up I better start using my fleece headband soon. It's not pretty, but it works.

A little chilly this morning, about 44 degrees. Still dark when I head out. I wore my biking shorts, leg warmers, cotton pull-over shirt and a pull-over fleece...And gloves. Nice and quiet ride. I warmed up the last mile.

The ride home was miserable, since I still have my cold.
I drove today.

40, wind is suppose to kick in for the ride home. Tried the new bike camera this morning. Not bad even though it was still dark. Got good video of being buzzed at least 8x and two right turns in front of me from the left lane, just a typical morning commute.

Cold and windy. Gonna be a lil' warmer but windier on the ride home. I may leave some gear at work so I won't have to battle the wind with a lot of heavy gear.

Nice this morning. Low 40s, pretty dark, but with a good tailwind. I'm not so sure about the rest of the week. Supposed to get some snow. Probably not much down at this low altitude though, and it shouldn't be cold enough to stick for long anyway.
I scolded a wrong-way cyclist. Dark clothing. No lights. Not much ambient light. Downhill. Dumb.

This week has been awesome! I live in FLA & we're having our first "cold front" of the year. Yesterday was shorts & t-shirt, like normal, but NO sweat! Today I woke up & it was in the 40's so out came the pants & hoodie. No, i don't wear cycling specific clothing (it's only an 11 mile round trip) But i DID attatch my Zero Per Gallon patch to my backpack last night......oh, and I wore my courderoy Walz Cap too

Cold, windy, wet. The forecasters totally blew this one. I rode in yesterday leaving my rain jacket at home, when I looked at the radar, half the screen was blue with an approaching cold front. My wife had the day off and offered to pick me up but I decided to ride anyway. Luckily I picked just the right time and got home between downpours. I left late this morning and saw a handful of riders. Just remembered, gotta get my riding clothes out of the backpack and leave them out to dry. I guess Winter really is coming...

Cold. It was 36 degrees (F) when I left this morning. I was quite cozy, though, in my tshirt, sweatshirt, fleece pull-over, fleece gloves, riding shorts and sweatpants. My face was pretty cold, but that's because some dummy (me) left the Gator-mask-thing at the office yesterday. D'oh!
Of course, even though it was cold, riding was much better than the hour-long traffic jam my co-worker was trapped in!
