Wet. And cool (50s).
Also expecting the ride to a Trails and Greenways Commission (City of Jacksonville, NC) to be wet and cool.
The good news is I'm okay with wet and cool. The bad news is that I'll be on more heavily traveled (by cars) roads and drivers here aren't known for their competency.

No commuting for a while. I went on a ski vacation last week and managed to sprain my knee. Hopefully I'll be back on the bike by the end of the week. Rest, Ice, Compression, and Extension for now.

well yesterday i test rode my commute to work. I was pleasantly surprised that even though it is longer than it was last year(i moved) it was alot easier for me than it was the last time i commuted. I've gotten alot stronger, and I thank my fixed gear for that. Tomorrow I will do the actual commute, can't wait.

First commute since last Friday. The weather last week just sucked!! Today's weather is great. Sunny and 50's and minimal wind. Tomorrow even better.
I'm took a totally new route (to avoid massive potholes on normal route) which added a mile and a half to the distance but took a minute off of my time. Not sure how to explain that one but its happened both times that I have done it. We shall see what happens tomorrow.

Cool, comfortable, I pushed it and left so late that I arrived on the platform with just enough time to fold my bike on the way in... I think I'll set the alarm clock earlier. This is supposed to _relieve_ stress!

I flew today. Until today I've commuted on either my Marin Larkspur or my Jamis Commuter 3.0. Today I rode to work and back home and back to work and back home again on my brand spanking new Novara Carema. Wow can that bike fly! I like it very, very much.

My commute was most pleasant. Wind in my face on the way in but it feels so good that it was about 40〫F
- felt downright tropical.
Wind at my back on the way home- that was real nice.

Gorgeous! About 65 degrees, hardly any wind, I took my time and enjoyed the Denver weather. I'm on nights, so the ride home in the morning will be cooler. Basically two sets of clothes.

Right around 40-ishF/4C all around the region this AM. Overnight rain had moved on east by 5:00 when I headed out, so everything was wet but not raining.
For some reason I came across all kinds of 'fraidy-cat drivers this trip. People literally stopping in the middle of the road for me to go when I'm already stopped and patiently waiting for them to clear by. I'm sure it's just a coincidence--more often than not, I (and I suppose any other cyclist) am just an impediment to be honked or yelled at, or otherwise treated like non-petroleum-burning scum (a category I am very happy to be in, BTW

38*F, wore my spring clothes and had my best time this year so far. It was a little chilly but I was so stoked to see the speed and time I was making I didn't care.
Ride home suppose to be in the 50's, this is more like it!

Yet Another Sweet Commute.
Upper 20s F. No wind. Blue sky. More V-formations of geese heading north.
I removed my Nokian W106 (studded) tires and put on my Continental Traffic tires last night. More of an all-terrain tread. Much smoother and nice & quiet. They're fat too, so they handle the packed granular snow patches better than the thinner Nokians.
Ran into a regular on a road bike heading the other way. He tried to deal with that granular snow, but eventually dismounted and walked. He commented about me having the right bike for it. I agreed.

Great weather for my ride this morning. About 46 degrees and I got the layering just right. The roads were still a little wet from the 4 consecutive days of rain we just had (which meant I got a wet butt) but not wet enough to be a problem. I felt like I made excellent time too.

Had a suicidal woman walk out in front of me when I was ~5' from her and closing. Hit the brakes and swerved behind her. She never broke stride and probably wasn't aware of me. I'm guessing she started celebrating St. Patrick's day early.

Second of the year and most probably the beginning of regular commuting from here to Oct/Nov.
Sweet ride, 22km, -4C, wind on port quarter. Got a good start at 0550 and was impressed how significantly fewer cars there were than last year's average departure time of @0610.

A lot of people use only their ears, not their eyes, to check for traffic. That works if the only moving vehicles are motor vehicles. For bikes, not so much. And she may have been wearing earphones. When I wear headphones, I look carefully and repeatedly. But no one asks me what I do.

Beautiful clear day, warming up, perfect. What stinks is that I had to drive

had a good ride in this morning, it was sunny and fairly warm
an impatient driver did speed around to pass me and then stopped at the red light and she pulled over to the side of the road obstructing my path...ggrrrrr...i guess i should expect people to be driving faster and more erratically due to the nice weather

You gonna eat that?
Warm, about 60. I rode my hybrid for the first time since December- I finally got my recalled Shimano cranks replaced and got the bike back Saturday. It was also sporting new fenders and Origin8 Space Bar handlebars. It flew along pretty well.

Upper 30s when I left this morning. Light rain, some moderate side-wind which was unusual. Light traffic, so didn't see many cars. Saw the Bainbridge ferry pull in. I try to beat it since the unloading traffic really messes up the signal timing - but on the other hand I got to see the parade of motorcycles, cars and lots of bikes unloading. Leaving work early today so I can prep a huge Irish meal. So I get to ride home in the middle of the day in what looks to be *gasp* Sunshine!

The weather dudes have put out another dense fog advisory for tomorrow. What really sucks about this is that the afternoon weather is beautiful and I'm in a cage going home instead of on my bike!

upper 30s tomorrow morning and maybe over 60 at mid-day, cooler and windy for the ride home. if I can figure out the clothing and other personal logistics I might make my first commute to the new office during a real work-day. naturally I have not planned ahead and have absolutely nothing here. whatever I want I'll have to bring with me.

I commuted for the first time today, and it was superb! I'm not sure how this evening will go, with significantly increased traffic, but I don't forsee any big problems. I'm a little excited to do this nice 5-mile ride every day (5 miles each way).

FYI: when I bike commute I offset my hours to avoid the worst traffic - so I leave at 4:00

Had a nice ride in today. 60's with little wind. Things are changing now, 15 mph headwinds and rain. Should be interesting ride home. 30 miles and I get to eat supper. Ye-Ha!
