GWAR!!!!! I'm riding through the rich neighborhood with my wife this morning, and some cellphone-talking, beige-Mercedes-S-class-driving, too-good-to-ride-the-bus-for-15-minutes SKRAG cuts me off just as we're rolling up to an intersection. I gave a half-assed kick at her bumper as she went by, then looked in her passenger window and gave her a full on "WHAT THE F***!?!?!?" She sped off, but I caught her at the next light and gave her the finger. The ride was particularly fast after that... Serenity Now!

nice ride in this morning, just cruised, really enjoying the cool, but not too cool weather we're having here on early Albuquerque mornings...

The sun was trying to bust up the clouds when I left home but by the time I got to work it was completely overcast. And HUMID!!
Came across a few @$$holes on the way in. One guy passed me on a residential street when I was ~30 feet from an intersection. He zoomed past me and then slammed on the brakes for the stop sign.
A few miles later I was waiting behind 6 cars at a stop light. I saw the guy ahead of me watching me in his rear view mirror. The light changed, the 5 cars in front of him started moving but he sat there watching me. I finally went around him and took off. He finally started moving when I was a few feet from the intersection. I went straight and he turned right -- thanks goodness.
Did I mention it was very humid.

108F going home yesterday at 5pm. The (ever changing) chart above temp is moderated as the station is next to an artificial lake.

First commute in two weeks. I didn't realize how much I missed it. The commute was nice; I was running late so there wasn't much traffic. I'm moving this weekend, so I will need to learn a new route.

----
last couple of days left with little time to get to work so I had to take Comm
Ave., which now that most of the BU crowd is off for the summer is not so bad.

109 degrees when I left work. I went slow, but it took it's toll. this is going to take some getting used to.

Bike & Bus
Well, I commute part of the way, and then I mount my bicycle unto the route 77 to get to work. It's amazing. I get to work 25 minutes including wait time! Why do people drive again? Lol.
The commute from my apartment to the bus stop is wonderful. Lots of traffic, but it feels good zipping on by while everyone else is kind of stuck behind the wheel. I know. I know. It's vindictive, but I can't help it. Lol

Great day, it's about 95 in the San Fernando Valley.
Saw another "cyclist" for the first time today, nod his at me, I gave a two finger wave.
I'm not sure the stock rims are gonna hold out in the long run, my commute is pretty rough.

overslept this morning. drove to work.
all this bike commuting is making me a crappy driver. i've been giving rides after ball-games to another kid whose mom doesn't drive, and i found myself receiving kindly instructions about car navigation from a fifteen year old.

I had to go into work this morning at 4:30 AM. I left the house at 3:30. Needless to say it was totaly dark, and virtually nobody on the roads. It was the greatest commute yet. I especially liked getting into downtown Austin at 4:20 AM and seing a half dozen or so people on thier way home from the bars looking at me like... is that a guy on a bicycle or did I drink too much again??? It made my whole day. I even took a 15 mile detour on the way home just for fun.

----
I've been leaving so late and flying into work on the roads instead of the bike path. So, less miles this week but much higher average speed. The bike path feels like a luxurious tour in comparison to Comm Ave.. But it's kind of fun to get to work in 20-25 minutes instead of 35-40.

No riding today.
I have to pick up 75 <edit> 50 </edit> t-shirts on my way in to work.
But tomorrow is another day and the bike and I will be "on the road again".

Low 50Fs. Kind of damp. Got drizzled on for a minute or two. Overcast. No wind. I came up behind 3 riders. Probably commuters. They were together. I said "hey there" or something as I passed. Lots of squirrels out this morning.

Almost chilly this morning. Not to the point of needing a wind-breaker, but unseasonable. Should heat back up by mid-morning, though.

It was nice this morning. Cool enough that I didn't even sweat, but warm enough that I didn't freeze. I think the best thing (and perhaps the only good thing) about getting up at 6:30 for work is the sparse road traffic.
This afternoon should be a very enjoyable 25 C... *sigh* some days I wish I had job that let me work outside.

Perfect morning here. Light traffic and just cool enough to keep me from sweating. 15 miles to work.

Mostly civilized commute this morning, nothing major to fret about
. I made good time because I took my "A" Bike this morning. I wanted to test the 90mm stem I installed, so far so good.

Oh, I feel like crap today. A big steaming pile o' poo. I went to the hospital at 3:00 a.m. 'cause I couldn't breathe, and it took so long for them to get to me that I had to leave and go to work. So here I am, nodding off mid-sentence and generally hating life. I almost crashed into cars twice on the way in.

Beautiful morning. A little overcast, perfect temp. I adjusted my seat on the way in and realized I had it a bit too low. That made all the difference in my ride. Got to work, feel great and its my friday. Life could not be better. Well, unless it were my saturday.

Nice, did 60 miles this weekend, 14 of which were the brutal climb to sandia crest. I was pretty stiff today, but actually wished I had ridden the longer route, as 4 miles was barely enough to spin the sluggishness out of my legs and feel good. I wanted more :-)

My ride in today was good. Overcast so it wasn't too hot. I did see one car pulled out of the traffic jam by a motorcycle cop. The traffic was very slow, so they probably weren't speeding. I just pedalled on by.

first commute of the summer semester! temps in the 60's with a very slight breeze in the morning. although I left slightly later than I wanted to, I actually came in earlier than I usually do which gave me some extra cool-down time after locking my bike and cleaning up. really fast ride in with a stop by my locker to get my extra lock then over to the building my class was in. no problems at all, really fun commute in.
temps were in the 70's with almost no wind in the afternoon. got out at 11, left at 12 after some lunch, rode to downtown CP to get some errands done then around the old town area for a little bit then back to campus and home by my usual route. about a block from my house I saw what appeared to be a set of quick release skewers in the middle of the road, but upon closer inspection it was actually a TV cable. the entire ride back was also fun and problem free. so begins my final semester of college.

55F and windy. Had to dodge some tree limbs on the side of the road from the big storm that moved through last night.
