With all of that going on the road conditions here in colorado springs are making my commute brutal I'm feeling so worn down after 7 miles of ice and snow packed roads. Are the roads snow packed where you are or are you in the clear?

no substantial snow yet, which is out of the ordinary for us here in the midwest. I run two different wheel sets in the winter, one with big wide off road tires for hard packed snow, the other is skinny snow tires with studs for icy conditions. Fortunately this year, I am still running my road tires because I really haven't had to deal with any winter conditions yet.
I am headed to Steamboat Springs, CO in a few days I and I will be bringing my winter bike with mountain bike tires and a specially modified rack for carrying snow skis. Hopefully I will have to deal with some snow packed roads there
