Cycling shoes/boot for winter
This is my first winter of commuting. I've been wearing my mountain biking shoes with shoe covers. It does the job keeping my feet dry but my shoes are too small to wear thick socks or 2 pairs of socks. My feet are getting too cold after a long ride in -10C (15F) or bellow temperatures.
So I'm in the market for some new cycling shoes or boots for winter commuting. Looking for something that could possibly also double as regular shoes or boots. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

You're looking for something with an SPD cleat--a cycling shoe, or do you commute in the winter with platform pedals or toe clips (which is what I have on my winter ride)?

I wear these. But I bought them for $40 at a REI scratch & dent sale.

A lot of people recommend these but are pricey

Update on my cycling boot dilemma:
So I went to MEC to check out the Lake boots. They didn't have any left in my size or larger. They did have some Exustar boots (E-SM343 I think) in my size for $160. Certainly more affordable.
But they had just one last pair of older Exustar E-SM450's. An they just happen to fit my wide feet really well. Discounted to $59 I was quite happy to take them off their hands. Will give them a good test tomorrow morning with a forecast of -18C (0F).

Lake winter boots are spectacular, but make sure you buy them two sizes too big
