It is indeed a Black Sheep. They were great to work with.
The frame is modeled after the Tout Terrain Silkroad with some differences.
I have never tried the Jeff Jones H-bar and have about 500 miles with it now. I think I prefer it to the standard riser bar I used previously. In headwinds it provides an aero option. Haven't been on a long ride yet since I'm rolling studs until Spring.
I wanted a bike I could ride everyday in any weather and perhaps start some touring this year.
Weight without bags is 32 pounds. I don't really care much about it and wanted a low maintenance dependable rig.
The Schmidt/B&M lighting is quality.

A handlebar facilitating multiple hand positions, integrated rear rack, a low riding front rack, fenders, and plenty of lights. A well thought out design. I congratulate you on a fine build.

I actually think it would also make a good bike for light touring.

With all those burly racks, I'd imagine this bike could take a pretty hefty load. Honestly, I load up my commuter bike more getting groceries than I do actually touring.

Dang! I think you are right. Good thing I'm not a fashion guy. I think the different rims look worse but again I only care for function. The rear rim is a specially drilled Rigida Andra for large flange hubs. Maybe the rim difference balances the stem/seatpost combo?
