Handlebar Light and Rain Cape

I decided to get a rain cape awhile back and today was the first day that I could try it out. But, I couldn't figure out a way to have the cape and not cover my light. The light on my rain bike is a NiteRider MiNewt X2.

I ride a small bike, so the head tube is small and with the junction of the top and bottom tubes, I can't place the light there.

For those that wear a cape, how do you not cover up the handlebar light? Is there a secondary position you place the light, a technique to drape the cape so it doesn't cover the light when on the bars?

I use my rain cape on 2 bikes, both have the lights mounted low,
at the fork-crown level.

Lower yet, there are pieces to substitute for the nut on the end of the QR,
that offers a handle bar tube like end..

there are also band on mounts to grip around the fork blade,
to mount handle bar lights, computers, etc. upon..

My rain bike gets used year around , So I have a hub dynamo,
and wired head,&taillights.

Riv Bike got Grundens to make the cape out of the same stuff
they make the foul weather gear the commercial fishers wear at Sea.

its great to have when the marine drizzle turns to deluge.

Yeah, I don't see a problem is I am riding any of my dynamo lighted bikes. But, those aren't my rain bike. I thought about the device that gets put into the front rack mounts, but I'm not so sure about the battery pack and if I want the NiteRider that low.

My cyclo-camping tour bike, I had a battery pack I put in a front pannier ,
with a long enough wire..
to power a headlight, that I fitted to the Low Rider Hoop.

with the better performance of LED lights , I got one of Paul's 'gino' mounts
that I screwed to the hoop, in place of the headlight,
then the QR handle bar mount light bracket went on it,
and I gained a bright flashlight for off the bike..

the battery pack light, a nightrider sport ; that uses 5-D cells
went on the Studded tire rig, since that cold, the cape is not needed.
