My father picked me up a cateye blinker dirt cheap so I threw it on my helmet with the mount that was included with it...fits pretty well...

I LIKE IT!!! i was just thinking of gettting a reflector and glueing it on.. but that blinker is a good idea

I have a smaller version of that zip-tied to the back of my helmet, and I feel much safer than when it was down under the seat. I have had friends say that I am very visible from behind when they see me in their cars.

I have that same light! Unfortunately, my light broke when I dropped it several weeks ago. ;-(
I think that's the best place to put the light because the motorist in an SUV can still locate your position even when they're a few feet. And since the motorist never sees anyone with a light on the helmet, most are in awe or surprised. |
I'm content with the fitting and it doesn't bug the back of my head. I'm going to see how well it working at the beginning of the week when I ride with my friend.
|
I tend to ride leaned forward a bit more, even more if I have my head in the wind. So the back of my helmet's usually into the air, pretty useless unless I'm signaling at airplanes. I had a planet bike blinker that self rights on a mount. Used to have that on my helmet but now I have it zip tied to the back of my bag.

I got on my bike and adjusted it according to my sister who was screaming that it was too cold out LoL.
|
I think that's a great idea. A lot of cars, many station wagons, now have a taillight up high on the back window. This is because if it's higher it's visible from further away in many situations.
