I forgot to close the straps on my Carradice seatbag when leaving work one day and lost my wallet and eyeglasses. That was a very expensive lesson to learn. I noticed the open bag about halfway home and retraced my route, but only found a few scattered cards from my wallet. When I got home, I called my credit card company and someone had already charged $500 worth of electronics equipment at Best Buy. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for the bogus charges but the new eye glasses cost over $300. Needless to say, I now double check everything before leaving.

Last summer after purchasing a cheapo commuter, I had the left hand side crank fall off my bike while I was chatting up this really nice looking female cyclist... needless to say that the most embarrassing moment was when she did a u-turn and returned with my crank and pedal in hand. :cry: Other than that, nothing has fallen off my recent quality commuter, except for some extra pounds around my waist! lol :thumb:
